It’s National Volunteer Week, and as we have the bestest, most wonderful volunteers of all time, we thought we’d introduce you to some of them! This morning, meet Lewis!
How long have you been volunteering at the SSF?
About six months.
What’s your (current) favourite book?
So Long and Thanks For All The Fish, by Douglas Adams.
Do you have a favourite story about your volunteering experience?
Working with the Indigenous students and seeing how their culture is vastly different to ours. The immense sense of communal property really made me think about how possessive I can be and reminded me that a story can be told just as well by a community as by an individual.
