Omar Musa is a poet, rapper and writer from Queanbeyan who has released both books and hip hop albums, and is a champion of numerous Poetry Grand Slams. His latest work is a mind bending poetic-novel called Here Come The Dogs, which Irvine Welsh described as having “such swaggering exuberance that it will make most other fiction you read this year seem criminally dull.” We’re very excited to have this master of words speaking with us, and his book will be on sale on the night courtesy of our good pals Oscar & Friends. Here’s a sneak preview of what to expect, from a TED talk he did last year.6-7pm Tuesday, 5th August, at the Sydney Story Factory. FREE for all volunteers and their friends, but places are limited so please RSVP to info@sydneystoryfactory.org.au.
