Divergent is a heart-stopping, action-packed book that has just been made into a movie.

Beatrice, or Tris for short, is a 16 year old girl that lives in a faction-based society to  prevent war. Abnegation, the selfless faction; Candor, the truth lovers; Erudite, the geniuses; Amity, the ones who love peace; and Dauntless, the brave ones. In this society when you turn 16, you must choose the faction you would like to be in. You also must complete a test which is supposed to tell you which faction you belong to. When it comes to Tris, the test doesn’t work on her. This means she is Divergent! Divergents threaten the system so now she must overcome hurdles; maybe she will meet a few people on the way? Which faction does she choose? You have to read it to find out! This book is a romance/dystopian novel.

I was in a bit of a reading slump and this book definitely brought me out of it. I rate it 10 out of 10.

This is a trilogy, so there are two other books called Insurgent and Allegiant.
