Do you want to read about three orphans who are trying to escape an evil man’s clutches? If so, this is the book for you. The Vile Village is about three orphans who have been through many Unfortunate Events after their parents’ deaths.

The evil Count Olaf is after the fortune that the orphans’ parents left behind for them when they died. He always has a scheme up his sleeve to try and capture them.

The three orphans all have their own talents – Violent is very inventive, Klaus is a passionate reader, and Sunny is… still an infant. So with Violet’s inventive skills and Klaus’s knowledgeable brain, will they escape from the evil Count Olaf again?

The is the 7th book in its series and I thought it was written really well by the author. In stages of the book I felt as if I was on the journey with the Baudelaire orphans. This book has no pictures, but it honestly doesn’t need any pictures! I felt hooked into the book the entire time!

It was an intriguing story with a wonderful storyline and it always made you want to know what would happen next. I recommend this book for people over the age of 7. I rate it 10 out of 10.
