Now See Hear guides young people to create their own digital stories. They write the stories, draw the pictures, record the voiceover, and introduce sound effects. The lot!
Originally called Radio With Pictures, in homage to the event of the same name that forms part of the Graphics Festival, the program was run throughout 2014. It culminated with 26 stories being illustrated by professional, grown up illustrators, and these versions screened publicly at Giant Dwarf Theatre in Redfern.
Now See Hear has become a favourite, and is the program format we most often turn to when running a term-long program with new school or community partners. We also run a teacher professional development program that equips teachers to run this program themselves.
From 2017 to 2020 we'll be running at least two Now See hear programs with new partners thanks to the support of the Commonwealth Bank Staff Community Fund.
